Troubleshooting Registration

Published Sat 17 Aug 2024

We have heard from several parents who have run into trouble registering online. The following is the advioce we have received from Tech Support.

1. Try a different device (eg: if using a phone, try desktop)

2. Try turning Javascript ON
We have found that if members are using a browser that does not have JavaScript enabled, there will be a reCAPTCHA timeout error. Some browsers have this turned off as a default (E.g. Microsoft Edge). Here are the instructions for enabling JavaScript on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome:

Microsoft Edge

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge on your computer.
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner
  3. Navigate to Site Permissions: In the left-hand menu, select "Cookies and site permissions."
  4. Scroll down to the "All permissions" section. Click on "JavaScript." and Toggle the switch to "Allowed (recommended)" if it's not already enabled.
  5. Refresh the page or restart your browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner.
  3. Navigate to Site Settings: Scroll down and click on "Privacy and security." and select "Site Settings" under the Privacy and security section.
  4. Scroll down to the "Content" section. Click on "JavaScript." and toggle the switch to "Sites can use JavaScript" if it's not already enabled.
  5. Refresh the page or restart your browser.

These steps should enable JavaScript in both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. With JavaScript enabled, the members should not encounter this issue when proceeding with the final payment stage.
