DSC Facilities
The club has the use of three boat ramps, and most trailerable boats can be launched and retrieved at all tide levels. Dinghies can be launched directly from the rigging area into the water.
DSC has a concrete rigging apron, with further space to rig up on the beach. Parking is available next to the club in a council carkpark, or a grassy area to the north.
The club has exclusive use of the northern half of the Deviot Pontoon on club days. This pontoon is suitable for tying up all but the largest recreational vessels, and is a popular fishing spot.
The club house has an excellent view of the river with large windows overlooking the dinghy racing area. There are change rooms with a large supply of hot water (important in Tasmania). In the downstairs area there is a pool table, table tennis table and a hi fi to keep the land lubbers amused. DSC volunteers operate a canteen on club days, supplying hot and cold food and drinks.
Out on the water, the club has permanent course markers. The two rescue boats provide rescue and coaching facilities, and two boatsheds provide storage facitlities for both club and private boats.
