Through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), Derwent has been able to move to an electronic platform where individuals can make donations or sponsorship. As Australia's dedicated sports fundraising platform, ASF helps clubs unlock tax-deductible donations.
Derwent currently has three revenue streams through ASF.
1. Club Sponsorship
The Derwent Hockey Club is a family hockey club established in 1935. We have over 20 teams, with our top men's and women's sides competing in the Tasmanian Premier League. Funds received from Club Sponsorship donations go towards the following projects:
- Junior Development Pathways and high-performance programs for senior players
- Purchasing and Upgrading sports equipment
- Participation Programs
- Coaching and support staff costs

2. Donation at the time of Registration
This opportunity exists in partnership between RevSport and ASF. When an individual registers they will be asked if they wish to make a donation to the Derwent Hockey Club.
3. Player Sponsorship
Player sponsorship is a fantastic way to support the club and align with a Derwent Hockey Club player. As a player sponsor, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet your favourite player and contribute to their hockey career development. With sponsorship opportunities available across the whole of club, you can play a crucial role in nurturing talented players.
The Derwent Hockey Club is renowned for developing players who have advanced from club to represent our state and national teams, the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos. Your sponsorship will provide invaluable support to these emerging stars and offer you a memorable chance to be part of their journey and hockey history.
The sponsorship will be in the sum of $300 of which $200 will be deducted from the players subscription costs. The balance will be considered as a donation to the club. This sponsorship will be fully tax deductible for the sponsor whilst assisting not only the player but also the club.

- Email the club secretary at secretary.derwenthockey@gmail.com and advise that you have completed a player sponsorship and advise the name of the player that you wish to sponsor. This will ensure that your funds are directed as you wish.
