Be Part of the Action - Join our Team of Volunteers!
Dragon Boating WA (DBWA) is calling on the assistance of volunteers for our 2024-2025 season!
We have many volunteer positions available throughout the dragon boat season. We welcome all applications from interested individuals who are 14 or older. Students are welcome to apply and community involvement hours can be credited.
Every year volunteers help make DBWA's dragon boat events a success. Without the volunteer team's hard work and dedication, these events would not happen. As well as our four Grand Prix regattas and State Championships each year at Champion Lakes, there are other events such as the Forza Twighlight Regatta in Bunbury, the Western Australian Dragon Boat Regatta in Fremantle and Towerrining Lake event. There is a job for everyone! After experiencing the camaraderie and the ceremony for the first time, many of our volunteers return year after year.
Volunteering can help you make friends, learn new skills and even feel happier and healthier. Benefits include:
- Make new friends and contacts
- Increase your social and relationship skills
- Helps you stay physically healthy
While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll experience, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy lifestyle.
If you are interested in volunteering for a DBWA regatta don't hesitate to get in touch with DBWA.
