DBNSW Regatta Series - Round 3 will take place on Sunday 13th November 2022 at Rodd Park, Rodd Point (Dobroyd).

Racing will kick off at 8:00AM with the 2km distance turns races, followed by some 100m fast and furious racing.

FORMAT:

Session 1

• 2km turns race
  • 1 heat per crew
  • Standard boat for all divisions
• Categories and order of racing will be:
  • Mixed Crews: Prems, Juniors, Senior A, Senior B
  • Womens Crews: Prems, Juniors, Senior A
  • Opens Crews: Prems, Juniors, Senior A

Session 2

• 100m sprint
  • All crews get 2 heats and a final
  • Standard boat racing all divisions
• Open age category for all crews, racing divisions are:
  • Mixed, Womens, Opens

For Session 2 there will not be any age specific categories which means all crews will race together in the Open Age event (irrespective if they would usually race in a Senior A, Senior B, Junior aged crew) Times from heats will determine which final the crew makes, with all crews placed in an A Final, B Final, C Final etc. 

Please note that the 100m sprint racing is not counted in the DBNSW points series.

COMBINING CREWS

As we progress into standard boat racing for rounds 3, 4 and 5. DBNSW will assist clubs who cannot field a standard boat to help form a combo crew with another club who is in the same position.

We ask that if any club is unable to field a standard boat crew, in any or all of the divisions, that they contact DBNSW Program and Events Coordinator Dylan Bent events@dbnsw.org.au to express your interest to participate and need for assistance in creating a combination crew with another club.

DBNSW wants to ensure all clubs and paddlers are provided with as much racing opportunity as possible.
