FAQ'S

Do I need to be a DSC Member?

For our beginner programs, you don't need to be a Darwin Sailng Club (DSC) member. However, as your progess into our more advanced programs and the sailing world, membership may be required. Each course will mention if membership is necessary. You will need an Australian Sailing (AS) Number for participation. See below on how to get one!

What is an Australian Sailing Number?

Your Australian Sailing Number (AS) holds your personal details, provides insurance coverage during courses & stores your course certificate. This is your 'Sailing Identification Number' and will be recognised and used throughout all Australian Sailing Affiliated Clubs. This is your unique personal identifier, permanently linked to your profile. Be sure to save it and keep it secure!

What do I need to Bring with me?

TOP - You will want a long sleeve shirt or rashie that will protect you from the sun and the stingers!

BOTTOMS - We require all participants to wear some form of Stinger Protection, such as leggings, tights or stinger suit!

CLOSED TOE SHOES - This can be a pair of runners you don't mind getting wet or Aqua shoes from your last snorkelling adventure!
