The Darwin Sailing Club wrapped up the 2024 Sailing Season with its highly anticipated Presentation Night, bringing together members, sailors, and supporters to honor the outstanding achievements of the year. In true Top End style, the celebration was marked by a surprise squall, with a sudden downpour that made it a memorable “Build-Up” evening. Fortunately, quick-thinking staff rallied to move tables under the marquee, keeping spirits high and the night as dry as possible.
The evening was filled with well-deserved awards for sailors of all levels, celebrating their dedication, skill, and hard work throughout the season. A special thank you goes to Michelle Batenburg, who flawlessly MC’d the event, guiding the presentations with ease and keeping the audience engaged. We are also grateful for the support of Majestic Media, whose generous sponsorship provided essentials like TV screens, lighting, and microphones, making the night a success.
As we close the books on 2024, we’re excited to look ahead to the 2025 season and see everyone back out on the water. Here’s to another great year of sailing!
