COURSE DETAILS

The first step on the Keelboat pathway introduces you to the basics of sailing on a small keelboat, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory.
This program is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the basic skills of sailing.
Classes are conducted by friendly Australian Sailing qualified instructors in our Elliott 7s.
LENGTH OF COURSE
The course is usually run over 2 consecutive Saturdays.
PRE-REQUISITES
Preferably water confident, however you will always be wearing life jackets.
WHERE TO FROM HERE
Once you have completed the Start Crewing Course you are ready to move into the Start Helming Course. Designed to develop both your theory and practical skills to confidently take control on the helm now that you know the basics.
