HIP Numbers
What are they?
A number pinned to the shorts of an athlete for identification by the automatic timing system. They are provided by officials at the Call Room or event marshalling area.
When are they worn?
During track events when an automatic timing system is in use. For example ANT meets, NT Championships and interstate competitions.
They are not worn during DAC club meets.
