Calf and Lower Limb Injuries in the Masters runner & Strength Training for the Endurance Athlete
Running injuries below the knee make up a huge percentage of the all injuries 30+ years of age. Sports Podiatrist and Strength & Conditioning Coach Caleb McInnes from THRIVE Sports Medicine will discuss common below the knee injuries, management, prevention & testing as well as the role of strength training for the endurance athlete has in both reducing injury risk & enhancing performance.
If time there will some practical demonstration suing the Force Decks assessing simple lower limb tests as predictors of injury and performance.
