GoAnna1 is gifted to Beechworth Golden Serpents Dragon Boat Club in Victoria

After months of searching for a new home, we are delighted that GoAnna1 will be going to Beechworth, Victoria. This new club is being established and needs a boat to commence their training and is also focusing on their juniors. It is fantastic that GoAnna1 can be used as she should — on the water. The DA Canberra Committee is very grateful and thrilled to help Beechworth. Thank you to Bea Brickhill as well as Susan Roraff who agreed to give the club some of the wooden paddles that are destined for Chile. 

The Beechworth Golden Serpents Dragon Boat Club in Victoria welcomed GoAnna1 along with our old wooden paddles, a copy of “A Dragon’s Tale” book, Gillian Styles’ background article, Robyne Kellett’s poem, and other photographs. As a new club with no equipment they are very thankful for our donation.

This afternoon (04/07/21) we prepared GoAnna1 for her new home in Beechworth.  Special thanks to John C and Kyle for transporting. Thank you to DAC, Invictus, Diamond Phoenix and Navmat members who helped load her onto the trailer.
