WELCOME AND INDUCTION INFORMATION
“WELCOME TO THE TEAM!”
We are so excited that you have chosen to join the CYSM Sea Dragons!
To help you get started, we’ve put together some essential reading below.
Our training days are on every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:30am – 12 noon.
You will need to install and set up the TeamReach app on your mobile phone to RSVP to training sessions, as well as join the team's WhatsApp chat group to stay up to date.
This website also has a lot of other useful information and resources so we encourage you to explore in your own time.
If you are new to the sport, there's a lot to learn, but also a lot of support from your captains, coaching team and fellow team members. Just keep coming to training and you'll be racing in your first regatta before you know it.
Our members representative, Boyce will be in touch with you shortly to make sure you are all sorted.

EQUIPMENT
PFD's
If you do not have your own Personal Floatation Device (PFD), then you will be using the club PFD for a hire fee and you should have been invoiced upon processing your membership. When the hire fee has been paid, our team inventory manager will provide you with your very own PFD at your next training session and ensure it is the right size for you. This is your life jacket for use at training and you may store it in the club cage or take home with you.
Please refer to Equipment Maintenance on our site here for information on how to properly look after the club's PFD's.
Whenever you no longer require the PFD, whether you decide to purchase your own PFD or are no longer an active member, then you will be refunded your hire fee upon returning the PFD back to the club provided that it is in an acceptable condition.
PADDLES
If you are using the club paddles, please treat them with care and respect. When placing them on the ground, especially hard surfaces, please be gentle and avoid scraping the paddle. Do not stand and lean on the paddle on land. Remember to return your paddle to the club cage after each training session in the correct colour coded sections.
MERCHANDISE
Aside from race tops (required when racing in regattas), we also have a range of other club merchandise on offer. Check out our online store.
