In less than a week, teams across Victoria will come together for the largest regatta of the 2017/18 season, the Victorian Championships (VicChamps). This year VicChamps will be held over two days, Saturday 17 February 2018 to Sunday 18 February 2018 at Gateway Lakes Wodonga, with 200m, 500m and 2km sweeps races for both 10s and 20s boats.

Last year, CYSM Sea Dragons brought their A-game and came away with scores that put even our veteran paddlers to tears. The culmination of both on-season and off-season training, coupled with training on the water and at the gym, led to us being placed in six categories:

• Premier Open 20s (200m) Final - 00:52.32 (2nd)
• Premier Open 10s (200m) Final - 00:53.25 (2nd)
• Premier Open 20s (500m) Final - 02:10.57 (3rd)
• Premier Womens 20s (500m) Final - 02:35.51 (3rd)
• Premier Mixed 20s (200m) Final - 00:52.21 (3rd)
• Premier Mixed 20s (500m) Final - 02:09.66 (3rd)

We have been training as hard as ever for the 2017/18 season and are just itching to compete with our hearts out against the best teams in Victoria!
