With competition just around the corner, let's hear from Club President and CCWC crew member, Sue Phung, on what this means to her.
"And the count down begins 3-2-1 for my team and I to head over to Italy to compete at the highest level of Dragon Boat Competition at the Club Crew World Championships! It has been a long and tough journey, but a rewarding one.
Learning to push through mental and physical boundaries as we take on another persona outside our paid day jobs to also become the best athletes we can be in a self funded sport. This can only done through persistence and perseverance with the immense support from family, friends and team mates as go along this journey together. Could not be any prouder and excited to be sharing this experience the CYSM Sea Dragons Dragon Boat Club.
Regardless of the results, to have gotten here is already no small achievement. Have fun, absorb the atmosphere and experience. So proud of you guys!"

The CYSM Sea Dragons Dragons are joined by 23 other Australian dragon boat clubs (including Dragon Masters, Melbourne Flames and Yarra River Dragons from Victoria), making the Australian contingent the SECOND LARGEST nation of qualified clubs heading to 2024 Club Crew World Championship.
