Firstly, a big thank you to all the members of the 2015/16 committee who worked tirelessly to establish processes and policies to ensure smoother running of club administration and operations. The introduction of revolutioniseSPORT has certainly been pivotal in this regard and the work invested in building our website over the past season sees us in good stead. We now have a great platform with which to promote and recruit, and to share our journey successes over the season with others.

Following the club’s AGM (23 July 2016), all positions on the club committee were vacated and nominations were called for members to refill those positions for season 2016/17. 

At that time, the following members stepped down from committee duties: Trish Duong, Rui Zhi Lai, Jing Tan and Mandy Li.

• Trish has been a great contributor to the committee, tirelessly punching out correspondence to our president/captain and treasurer and the greater committee. She has also worked patiently to organise RSVPs, room bookings and pushing updates to everyone. Keeping us informed, all hours of the day =)
• Rui has been treasurer (and assistant treasurer) for almost 3 seasons. Invoices, receipts, shop sales, budgets, expenses; money matters are all year, and Rui has managed to keep on top of regattas (all of them) and short notice events. Not sure how she stays so zen through the craziness.
• Jing served a term as our Committee Chair, but all committee members will appreciate her setting up meetings, prompting for agenda updates and taking meeting minutes. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she also kept the meetings on point and usually on time.
• Mandy took over coordinating race day preparations for 2015/16, and we appreciate the work she's done on that front from organising all the club gear to food and shelter. The fact that the transition was seamless is a testament to her abilities.

• Recruitment Manager – Carlos Diz
• Social and Events Coordinator – Vicky Chung
• Webmaster – Fung Lay

• Members Representative – Meng Hou

Out of the committee membership, the following also take up leadership responsibilities of:

• Co-Captains – Carlos and Cat
• Vice-Captain – Eric

I am sure that all members will support our new committee as they learn and assume their duties.

Lastly, it would be remiss of the club to not highlight the incredible and transformative job that Crispy has done in his role as Captain (and President) of the club over the last three seasons. Whilst he steps down as captain, we are sure that his guiding hand (as President and senior paddler) will be there, steering us to a bright future.
