Dragon boat is a global community

While our Sea Dragons trained in the waters of Docklands Melbourne today, one of our own was interstate for work. This did not stop Anthony Alvior from getting his paddling practice in. Such is the nature and community of dragon boat that he was able to get on the water for a session with our friends at ACCA Dragon Boat Club, Sydney.

This is also a reminder of how important community is.

At the start of our session this morning, Captain Eric Cham led a 1 minute silent tribute to the seven paddlers from the Boracay Dragon Force dragon boat club, Philippines, who tragically lost their lives this week during a training session.

Shoulder to shoulder, we join with the entire dragon boat community worldwide and express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of the Boracay team.
