Carrum Cup Regatta

Carom Cup regatta 2017 We returned to the National Watersports Centre to compete at the Carrum Cup Regatta today, the last before closing 2017. We entered Premier crews in Open and Mixed 20s over 200m & 500m, claiming bronze in all categories. We also scored a silver in the Mixed 10s over 200m and we had a solid performance in the Womens 20s, 500m.

For the first time, we welcomed members from Geelong Dragon Boat Club inc. (seniors Lauren, Margaret, Shane, Greg, and juniors Aidan, Kaitlyn, Courtenay), as well as the return of Riley (from Melbourne Rapids) to join our crews for a paddling frenzy.

For the first time, we also fielded a Masters crew, with our very own Coach Joe, Fung and Sui (the Twins), Big Chief, Benny and the seniors from Geelong. We gave a great fight with our 8-paddler crew and were satisfied with our performance in the finals (4th overall). It can only go up from here for our beloved Masters crew. Until then, let's keep paddling!
