Dragon Boat Victoria is kicking off the first race of the new season 2018/2019 with Battle on the Barwon (BoB) Regatta in Geelong!
BoB is a long distance time trial event which will be held on Sunday, 05 August 2018.

More about the race:
1) Race distance : 5.5km.
- Slightly different course to previous events. Crews will paddle 1.5km to the first turn and then return past the starting point for a 2nd turn and finish at the starting point. This will provide an extra challenge with the additional turn and allow the spectators to much more of the event.
2) Race categories : Women, Open & Mixed
3) Additional info:
- All race distances are approximate at time of printing.
- There are no age divisions.
- Minimum ages are 10 years for paddlers and drummers, 16 years for helms.
- Races are staggered start as in sweeps races and placing's will be on times
- DA Paddlers must have current Dragons Abreast Australia membership.
- Combined teams are welcome – see DBV guidelines for entries.
4) Race fees (per participant):
- $41.00 full fee
- $21.00 students/junior
- Payment due on 28 July. Late payment fee of $10 applies.
