Community Hub at the Dock

Located on the waterfront where Collins Street meets Bourke Street in Victoria Harbour, the Community Hub at The Dock is a two-storey facility that includes:

• a community boating hub on the ground floor, which is home to Dragon Boat Victoria (to which CYSM Sea Dragons is a member club), the Docklands Yacht Club, and the Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club

  • storage capability for nine dragon boats (including fully electric boat hoists) and TK1 crafts

  •  change rooms and hot showers

• ​a family services centre on the second floor

  • four consulting rooms 

  • a playgroup room 

  • a large outdoor playground 

  • a group program room 

  • a large multi-purpose room for community hire. 

This facility is next to the Library at Th​e Dock.

Boating Hub - Building Rules & Conditions of Use

All club members should be aware of the rules and conditions governing the use of the boat hub. As this is a shared space, we need to be fair, responsible and accountable for our actions as each of us not only represent our club but also dragon boating in Victoria.

The rules have been written by DBV with that in mind and can be accessed here: Boating Hub – Building Rules & Conditions of Use.

With the introduction of the Hub Committee, this will enable more involvement from the clubs on updating and monitoring the hub rules in co-operation with DBV and other Community Boat Hub tenants.
