Virtual Holiday Camp

The Tamworth Gymnastic Club Virtual Holiday Camp is a 5-day program of live Zoom training sessions with some of the best presenters in the country! The sessions will run from Monday 20th – Friday 24th September from 9am – 11am AEST each day. The sessions are open to WAG Level 3 and above gymnasts currently registered with Gymnastics Australia, and to coaches who are registered with Gymnastics Australia and hold a current Working with Children accreditation.

The cost is $100 for the week. However there are discounts if we get more than 10 gymnasts entered. Once entries close gymnasts will be invoiced. We can also use credits from Country Championships and Regional Championships for gymnasts entry fee. CWG will not be running any zoom sessions during the holidays so this is a great oppurtunity for our gymnasts to keep training!

We are so lucky to have the most amazing line up of presenters – including 4 Olympians!

Monday 20th September • Joshua Fabian - Vault Drills (thinking outside the box) • Steph Magiros OLY - Yoga for Gymnasts

Tuesday 21st September • Dave Tilley - Superstar Strength and Conditioning • Emily Abbot OLY - Olympian Flexibility and Hand-Eye Coordination

Wednesday 22nd September • Emily Whitehead OLY - Bars Drills with an Olympian • Becky Borchard - Beam Complex (but not as you know it!)

Thursday 23rd September • Stacey Umeh - Dance Party Expression Session • Maddi Lacey & Caitlin O'Neill - World Class Handstands and Balances

Friday 24th September • Olivia Vivian OLY - Ninja's at Home! • Jordan Wong - FriYay Hip Hop Hooray!

  •  Participants will not require any particular gymnastics equipment, but may be asked to have ordinary household objects available.
  • Sessions are open to Australian gymnasts who are currently registered with Gymnastics Australia (IMIS number must be provided).
  • Sessions are also open to Australian coaches who are currently registered with Gymnastics Australia (IMIS number must be provided) and must also provide a Working with Children number (or state equivalent).

  • The sessions will be hosted by TGC and invited presenters who hold current accreditations with Gymnastics Australia and Working with Children checks (or equivalent).
  • TGC may share some clips of the sessions on the TGC Facebook and Instagram pages. These will be mostly focussed on the presenter and not show a lot of detail of the athletes. Permission can be given/denied below.
  • Please notify us below of any current injuries that may prevent you from participating fully in the activities. If this changes before the Camp, please be sure to notify your presenter / TGC Host.
  • Gymnasts are invited to perform the activities suggested by the presenters, however if at any stage they do not feel comfortable / capable of performing something, they are most welcome to sit and watch. Gymnasts will be able to engage with the presenters and ask questions, particularly about the activities if they are unsure of what to do.
  • Coaches attending are also welcome to ask questions, however please keep in mind that these will be athlete-centred sessions and questions should be kept to a minimum and/or focussed on the activities at hand.
