This class runs out of Canowindra High School in the gymnasium.
GymFun is the second of the three sequential programs within LaunchPad and is specifically designed for children aged between 5 - 8 years old.
GymFun is just that. FUN! As with all of the programs in LaunchPad, fun is a key element. If kids are enjoying what they’re doing, they’re more likely to want to do it again… And again... And again! As long as they are safe and repeating skills / activities with great body control, we’re happy for kids to practise as much as they like!
In GymFun, we focus on the fundamental movement patterns that will help kids to then progress into more advanced skills or activities. Our Gym Fun for girls program focuses on the 4 womens artistic apparatus Vault, bars, beam and floor. Gymnasts will also learn skills on the trampolines and and basic partner balances.
Uniform for this class is optional. Children must wear clothing they can move freely in with no zippers or hoods. We have CWG shorts, leotards, singlets and tights available for purchase from admin or via the shop tab.
