ANNUAL TONY PORTER CUP  Saturday 8th July 2017

The annual TONY PORTER CUP day is on again next Saturday 8th July, starting with the first men's game at 1.30pm. This event is to remember TP as a hockey player, sportsman in general, administrator, coach, team mate, mentor, father and husband. We all know TP was a competitive bugger, but he had an extra level whenever he met his arch nemesis, CORAKI! TP played his hockey against Coraki hard and tough, with nothing left in the tank. But it was about the contest and he loved nothing more than to shake his opponents hand and have a beer with them after the game, for in later years, Coraki players became his best mates. This year has a little extra added, with TP's eldest, Georgie, celebrating her 18th in the same week.
We'd love to see as many Coraki Hockey Club past, present members and friends down there on Saturday to honour a top bloke, and his love for our sport, his mates and his family.
 
Coraki Hockey Club are organising a bus from the Coraki Bottom Pub to Ballina Hockey fields.
Please be at the pub by 11am for a strict departure at 1130am and returning after completion of the last game approximately 8pm.All members are welcome to stay on at the pub for some fun and frivolity. Please note food may not be available at the pub due to the late time we will arrive back there.
