2023 Coburg TT Club Championships

Introduction

The Coburg Table Tennis Club Championships is back for 2023 and is scheduled to be held on Sunday 10th December! With 83 entries (compared to 76 last year) we anticipate a LONG day! So your cooperation in being punctual will be appreciated!

This page will be updated by Kameron Chan (our Tournament Controller) in the lead-up to the Club Championships, and on the day, with announcements, draws and any last-minute changes that have occurred since the close of entries.

Announcements

8/12/2023: The draw has now been published! The official split for the Open Singles has been finalised. Groups 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 14 will play at 12:30 pm and the rest will play at 1:30 pm. Those playing in either Veteran's or Junior's were prioritised to play at 1:30 pm to ensure anyone available to play at 12:30 pm was put on the table.

5/12/2023: Players are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of their first match. If matches can be played early, then they will. NOTE: Table 10 is recommended for Junior & Junior Novice Singles since there will be quite a few matches to get through. We should expect to finish by 7 pm (we have been lenient with the time estimations). Your cooperation on the day for getting matches going will be much appreciated!

Changes & Adjustments

9/12/2023: Minor changes in Open Singles, Junior Singles, Open Doubles, Division 2 and Division 3. Draws have been updated to reflect these.

5/12/2023: As it were last year, Open Singles will be played across 2 timeslots (12:30 pm and 1:30 pm). Again, you are required to be available at least 30 minutes before the start of your first match.

Consolation will only be held for Junior Novice Singles

12:30 pm: Open Singles (Groups 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 14)
1:30 pm: Open Singles (Groups 2, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15), Women's Open Singles
3:00 pm: Novice Junior Singles, Division 2, Division 4
4:00 pm: Division 3, Division 5

Events may start earlier than scheduled - best estimates are provided for reference

Where scheduled, it is heavily advised that Table 10 is used throughout the day if Tables 1-9 are in use as per below Runsheet and we are running significantly behind.
