Criteria for a Cumberland Nepean Softball Association Assistant Coach - Representative Team
The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting and ensuring that all aspects of the Teeball/Softball respective representative team are managed for the applicable age group under direction of the CNSA Head Coach.
Responsibilities
- Support the CNSA Head Coach as part of the representative softball program
- Assist in the developoment and training schedules outlined/planned by the Head Coach
- Assist in the management of the team at all training and game events.
- Ensure that all equipment and relevant training materials are available during training and ensure the supervision of all players at all training and game events.
- Attend all relevant events as outlines by the Head Coach e.g. Gala Days, Training days and State championships
- Complete training as required by CNSA, Softball NSW and Softball Australia
- Work with the CNSA Representative Liaison Officer/s
- Attend parent / player meegtings as required
- Other ad hoc requirements as required for the positioin and as set by CNSA
Selection Criteria
- Foundation Coaching Accreditation - Held for at least 1 years
- Previous experience coaching at Representative Level
- Available for both days of the State Championships
- Demonstrated effective coaching techniques and skills for the game of Teeball / Softball
- Demonstrated knoweldge of Softball rules, regulations and other specific techniques of the sport
- Demonstrated strong working relationships with others such as support staff, managers, umpires
