Coffs Harbour Yacht Club (CHYC) is an accredited Discover Sailing Centre offering Start Sailing 1 courses.
This course will introduce sailing to 8-18 year olds and develop the skills to allow for single handed dinghy sailing. The children learn in CHYC-owned Optimist, Sabot and Pacer sailing boats. The courses are tailored to the children’s learning needs and are a fun way to learn sailing.
Children will learn how to sail a dinghy in a safe environment and be provided the skills to develop and progress in the sport by our experienced instructors. Participants should be water confident and able to swim. The course is open to boys and girls alike.
