Softball at CDSA
The Central Districts Softball Association played their first games at Ridley Road Reserve in the summer of 1967.
Previously they played as a club in the South Australian Women's Softball Association, in Adelaide, SAWSA.
The Inaugural AGM was held on the 7th of August, 1967. Present were members of seven inaugural clubs, and representatives from the South Australian Women's Softball Association who travelled from Adelaide for the meeting.
The 1967-68 Inaugural Association Committee consisted of:
President - Mr James Moar
Secretary - Mrs Jean Trenorden
Treasurer - Miss Lorna Learmonth
Vice Presidents - Mr John Watts & Mr R McLean
An association constitution was presented and accepted.
Along with the committee, two delegates per club had a formal vote at each meeting.
All games were to be played at the Ridley Road ground. Affliation to SAWSA was $2, and clubs would pay $1.50
to play in the competition, with the aim "...that the Association provide the clubs with the opportunity to play
at the lowest possible cost".
