A timeline of hockey on the Central Coast

1945 Womens Hockey started on the Central Coast in 1946 or 1947 when teams from Gosford and Wyong travelled to Newcastle to compete
1953 Central Coast Hockey Assoc is established with 5 teams, Gosford 1 & 2, Wyong 1, 2 & 3
1973 Gosford Hockey club established
1974 Entrance Hockey is established
1975 Club system commences with Central Coast Women's Hockey Assoc
  Erina Hockey club established
  Lions Hockey Club (formerly Wyoming Hockey Club) established
1978 Norah Head Hockey club established
  Wyong Hockey club established
1996 Hockey is relocated from Adcock park in Gosford to Wyong Regional Sporting complex in Wyong
  Clubhouse and sand turf established
2006 Water field turf is laid
2016

CCMHA & CCJHA wound up and merged into CCHA

Hunter Coast Womens PHL commences, merging CCHA and NDWHA competitions

CCHA win Div 1 Under 18 Mens Outdoor State Championships

2017

CCWHA wound up and merged into CCHA

Wyong Regional Sporting Complex renamed to Central Coast Hockey Park

2018

Wyoming Hockey club change their name to The Lions Hockey club

Gosford City Hockey Club win consecutive Hunter Coast Mens PHL titles, beating Norths in the final 

CCHA win Div 1 Open Mens Indoor State Championships

Lain Carr selected in the Australian team to complete at the Youth Olympics in Brazil

2019 Gosford City Hockey Club claim a hatrick of Hunter Coast Mens PHL titles, again beating Norths in the final 
2020

Completed a $1.6M upgrade of the complex - including replacing the turf on the East field, upgrade of the Sand field to a water based field, expansion of the Practice pitch, new access road to the clubhouse and some other landscaping works.

COVID 19 disrupted the commencement of the season
