Calisthenics - the sport with performance at its heart.
COMPETITIONS AND PERFORMANCES
Taking to the stage to perform beautiful, artistic and energetic routines is a big part of calisthenics. Our performances are celebrated by audiences as a showcase of talent by both participants and coaches.
Participants have opportunities to perform with their club, at competitions held by the NT Calisthenics Association and at national competitions hosted by the Australian Calisthenic Federation.

FRANGIPANI CHALLENGE
The Frangipani Challenge is a development level competition open to interstate participants and coaches who are considered to be at the novice or developing level. The Challenge is designed at provinding a representative oppotunity to participants who may not otherwise be selected for a national championship team and to create a competition event for our NT clubs that is fair and equitable.
COMPETITION RULES
The NTCA operates under the ACF’s competition rules, including flexible rules which have been adjusted to reflect the nature of calisthenics in the NT. Flexible rules support the NTCA's strategic objective to provide performance and development opportunities for all participants and encourage competition in all sections.
NT Flexible rules are denoted by green text within the ACF rules and regulation NT document. Only those modifications stipulated form part of the flexible rules that are applied in the Northern Territory. For participation in National Championship Competitions ACF Rules and Regulations must be followed.
The operation of NTCA competition events is governed by the Competition Adminstration Handbook. The handbook sets out eligibility for entry to solo, duo and graceful items and team items. It also outlines the expectations on coaches and competition officials. Information about volunteering and competition operation can be found here.
The Director of Coaching coordinates the submission of music and lighting for NTCA hosted competitions. Typically, lighting sheets and music files must be submitted at least two weeks before the date of competition.
