The CDBA Northern California International Dragon Boat Festival will include dragon boat racing, Dragon Land for kids and Market Area with different vendors, including Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office of San Francisco.  The festival will be will be held at Leo J Ryan, Foster City CA.  We'll start our activities at 8am and end by 5pm on both days, with an award ceremony after the second day of racing.  This year, we have invited visiting teams to participate and custom medals specialty designed for this festival will be awarded to our winners!

The race event will consist of mixed crews for adult and college, specialty races such as our College Championship, Open, Women and Masters divisions.  In addition, on Saturday, 10/19, the youth teams will also have mixed crew, open, and girls divisional races including seeding, semi-finals and finals.  The race will be designed to ensure that your team has a fun experience across the two days!

Registration Fees:

Registration fees are based on the number of crews you register. The minimum number of paddlers per crew is 16. This event will be limited to 36 adult/college crews, 18 youth crews and specialty races including open, women, college and masters crews.  For each crew that you register, you'll receive 0.5 open, 0.5 women, 0.5 masters, and 1.0 college crew.

• CDBA College/Adult team: $600 (early bird rate $500)
• CDBA Youth team: $400 (early bird rate $300)
• non-CDBA College/Adult team*: $900 OR $750 (early bird $800 OR $650)
• non-CDBA Youth team*: $500 OR $450 (early bird $400 OR $350)
• US Traveling College/Adult team: $500 (early bird $400)
• International Traveling team: $300 (early bird $200)

* NOTE: Lower discounted pricing is for non-CDBA Local College/Adult/Youth teams that volunteer for tasks to support the festival, including but not limited to, setup, operations and tear down of event site. The tasks typically occur either in the morning before the race (~6am) or immediately after the race. To obtain the discount, send an email ncidbfracedirector@cdba.org to confirm agreement to volunteer, and the discount will be applied. Prior to the discount, rates are higher as indicated in the registration ticketing.

Early Bird rates start on July 15, 2024 and ends July 28, 2024.  

All registrations include $100 refundable trash deposit per crew.  Trash deposits will be refunded if your team leaves the site clean and does a proper job of sorting your trash.  We recommend taking a picture of your tent site after clean-up as proof.  When we confirm that we are not charged any extra fees by the waste management provider, trash deposit refunds will be issued.

Refund Policy: All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Your Team Captain should register first and select "Race Registration Only: non-CDBA Adult" member type in order to submit the team registration and pay the registration fees. If you need assistance, please contact Ken Wu at membership@cdba.org.
• NOTE: Registration is NOT complete until payment is received.  We recommend paying through RevSport directly (credit/debit card) for immediate payment confirmation. If you send a physical check, your registration is not considered complete until the check is received and cashed (which will take some time). If you need special accomodations (e.g., specific invoice wording), please reach out to treasurer@cdba.org.
