The CDBA Novice Dragon Boat Race event that will include dragon boat racing and some fun games to help promote team building and community building.  This year, this event will be held at Lake Merced, San Francisco CA.  We'll start our activities at 8am and end by 3pm with an award ceremony.  In addition, teams will recevie three practices prior the event.

Please reach out if you're interested in becoming a sponsor - where we'll not only provide you a vendor tent to promote your organization, but also name one of the division champions after your organization!

Registration Schedule:

  • July 1 through August 11, 2024

Registration Fees:

Registration fees are based on the number of crews you register. The minimum number of paddlers per crew is 16. This event will be limited to 24 crews. 

  • Sponsoring team: $5,000 (this includes race fee PLUS tax deductible donation)
  • Corporate/novice team: $2,500 (discounted from $3,000)
  • Community team*: $1,250 (discounted from $1,500)

*community team designation is for registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations

Refund Policy: All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.


Registration Instructions:

  • Your Team Captain should register first and select "Race Registration Only: non-CDBA Adult" member type in order to submit the team registration and pay the registration fees. If you need assistance, please contact Ken Wu at membership@cdba.org.
  • NOTE: Registration is NOT complete until payment is received.  We recommend paying through RevSport directly (credit/debit card) for immediate payment confirmation. If you send a physical check, your registration is not considered complete until the check is received and cashed (which will take some time). If you need special accomodations (e.g., specific invoice wording), please reach out to treasurer@cdba.org.
