2025 CHA Umpire Development Program

In 2025, CHA is running a free 6-week Umpire Development Program. This program is designed to educate and upskill our umpires while assisting them to gain accreditation.

We value our umpires and want to provide ample opportunities to help them improve both their technical skills and confidence.

The program include

•   Rules Briefings
• Education/Video Sessions
•  Mentoring Opportunities
• Accreditation Opportunities – Foundation and Foundation Lead

Goals of the Program

• More umpires for club games
• All members have a clearer understanding of rules and interpretations
• More umpires with Hockey Aus accreditation
•  Sending more Cairns umpires away to State Championships in 2025.
