CHA will be running Foundation Lead Coaching Course on Tuesday and Wednesday 21 and 22 February 2023 from 6pm - 7:30pm respectively.

The Foundation Lead or Level 1 Coach course is designed to traing coaches in the fundamental concepts of coaching including group management and organisation, developing effective training sessions, performing the role of match day coach and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of players.

CHA will be conducting a presentation discussing some key factors during for session planning and coaching during training sessions and during competitive or non-competitve games. During this presentation some fundamental skills and the coaching therof will be discussed.

Following the CHA delivered presentation attendees will have to register with HockeyEd and complete the online component which is an enjoyable and convenient training program involving an online learning session, an applied learning quiz. Following the online component, attendees will need to complete a practical evaluation.

The Level 1 Coach training program can be accessed as an educational resource for currently accredited individuals, as well as being a training requirement for those wishing to obtain their Level 1 Coach Accreditation.

Note: there is a registration fee of $50 for HockeyEd to complete the Level 1 Coach program.
