The Brisbane Water Polo Association Inc. (BWPI) is a local, Brisbane based association that is lead by a volunteer Management Committee. This committee is supported by and affiliated with Water Polo Queensland and Water Polo Australia.
BWPI remains a grass roots competition aimed at fostering positive participation, talent and growth of the sport of water polo. Opportunities for new players to participate and to retain the engagement of all of our returning junior and senior players in a competitive sport remains our focus.
The BWPI Summer Competition aims to promote the sport of water polo through the quality of games rather, than the quantity of games.
The BWPI encourages all of its registered players to play for both school and club if given the opportunity. We believe that the competition is stronger when schools and clubs play together.
The BWPI has always had a structure allowing for age AND grade-based competitions. Players should always be given the opportunity to play in their age group at a level of competition consistent with their skills and aspirations.
