Country Pennants is an annual event held on the March long weekend every year where regional clubs compete in various grades for the title of Champion Club. In 2022, the location of the event is Carnarvon. Bunbury Swimming Club is competing in A-Grade. It is bound to be a fun, busy weekend and is often described as swimmer’s ‘highlight’ meet of the season. It is also the only event where swimmers compete as a team rather than individuals.

As this is a true team event, the club has arranged accommodation and bus travel. Team members, if not accompanied by a parent, will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of independence.

Swimmers are permitted to compete in a maximum of 4 individual events (12/under are typically 50m events and 13/over are typically 100m events) and/or relay events.Entry into Country Pennants is via selection and invitiation by the club selection committee. Invitations will be issued after the completion of Country Championships and is based on long course times recorded before and up until the completion of this event.
