Stage 3 – Better Sailing
Better Sailing introduces kids aged 7-16 years to the Sabot, Optimist and Quest dinghy. Kids will be learning how to make the boat go faster and playing more games all while still under the guidance and support of the Instructor and Assistant Instructors. BSS have club Sabot and Optimist dinghies available for the coaching sessions however junior sailors at this level are encouraged to be sailing in their own boat.

Times | 9:00am to 11:00am Saturday |
Prerequisites | Completion of the Start Sailing Course or if the sailor has previous sailing experience this will be assessed by the Club Coach |
What to Bring |
Clothes & Shoes - wear ones you don't mind getting wet A towel and a change of clothes and shoes. |
What’s included |
8 two hour coaching sessions per Term Limited Club dinghies are available for those sailors transitioning to their own boat. Use of a club buoyancy vest (PFD) |
Parent Involvement | As a parent or guardian of a Junior Sailor we encourage you to become involved. Being involved in the rigging and de-rigging of boats, helping in support boats and learning some basic sailing concepts is a great way to support your Junior sailor. |
