BSSC Club Snapshot

Belmont Saints Squash Club began in February 1973, and we have recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. We are a friendly, non-profit community club which exists to bring people of all ages and abilities together through the healthy sport of SQUASH!  The club currently has approximately 144 members, varying in age from 7-90. Our home location is the State Squash Centre, located at 144 Robinson Avenue, Belmont.

BSSC provides a complete set of experiences for all ages and abilities.  At either ends of the activity scale, we run a Junior program on Wednesday afternoons (4.30-6pm) with Christine Elkington, and Gentle Squash for Seniors on Thursday afternoons (1-3pm) with Les Yates.

During the week there are a range of activities for beginners through to more accomplished players, with causal arrangements through to individual and group coaching, as well as registered competition formats.  See the State Squash Centre website for all options.

Competition is available, from casual low-commitment in-house games at the Centre, to regular squash through Squash WA League or Pennants.  If you would like to register for League or Pennants, please contact our Club Captain, who will connect you with the squash experience for you!

The Building and BSSC

The State Government of WA owns the State Squash Centre (formerly known as Belmont Squash Centre) and the State Association, Squash WA has operated it since 1 July 2024.   There is currently a remainder of works to the external of the building to improve access and entry.  Club volunteer Russell Chandler is working with Squash WA to manage the program and coordinate with court operation and club activities.
