2024 Development Details

This specialty Goal Keeper clinic is invite only.
Goal Keepers invited are in the U14, U16 or U18 age groups in 2024, and were either selected for, or trialled for Brisbane in 2023. 

GK Clinic with Steven Welch

Steven works alongside Hockey Australia and David Staniforth (National GK Coach), delivering specialty Goal Keeping training and education within Australia. 
He regularly attends Hockey Australia Futures Camps and National Development Squad clinics to work with Goal Keepers across Australia, including our Brisbane Blaze GKs Mitch Nicholson and Jordan Bliss. 
Steven runs a Goal Keeping Academy out of his home town of Hobart called 'Shot Stoppers Tasmania', in between running defence classes as a Tae Kwon Do Master Instructor. 
 

Development Session: Saturday, 10 February 2024 – between 8am-3pm* at UQ 4

Eligibility: Invite only

*Sessions will be 1 hour long, grouped by age, maximum 5 GKs per group.
Information will be emailed to participants.

Development Cost Per Player: $60.00
