Foundation Lead (Level 1 Coach) Course

The Level 1 Coach Training Program is designed to train coaches in the fundamental concepts of coaching including group management and organisation, developing effective training sessions, performing the role of match day coach and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of players.

The program involves an online learning session, an applied learning quiz, a 1 day practical course and a practical evaluation. The program is directed towards teachers, parents, players and coaches who are involved in coaching modified versions of the game or beginner level club hockey.

Total cost to participants: $100 (breakdown below)

Step 1 - register online with Hockey Australia  https://www.hockey.org.au/coach/level-1-coach/, pay $50 and complete the HockeyEd Level 1 Coach program online

Step 2 - complete this registration and pay fee of $50 for the practical component payable to BHA; this covers the facility hire, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and presenters
