As we near the end of the 2023 hockey season we are beginning preparations for our end of season presentations.
We are so looking forward to celebrating the Club Award winners at the club presenstation events in September (Juniors) and October (Seniors).
Our club awards recognise a handful of Club Members who have gone above and beyond this season to help develop the club in one way or another and uphold the values of what it means to be a Briars.
We are now open for nominations for the 9 Club Awards listed below and invite anyone to provide a nomination for 1 or all of these awards prior to Friday 8th Septmeber The committee will vote on these awards at our next meeting.
1. AJ Robinson Award
Clubperson of the Year. Criteria below:

2. RD Vanderfield Award
Junior Clubperson of the Year. Similar criteria to the above.
3. David Cameron Award
From Under 17's generally - recognising a player who treats thier teammates with respect and kindness. Always strives to play the sport in the manner it is intended - fairly, honestly and with mateship at the forefront of their mind.
4. Junior Goalkeeper of the Year
5. Col “Hockey” Jones awards
Medallions to recognise club involvement - we can award up to 4 per year.
6. Rising Star (1 men’s and 1 women’s player)
7. Junior Coach of the Year
8. Senior Coach of the Year
9. Most Outstanding Team
On field performance and off field demonstration of committment and Briars club values.
