Procedures (Thursday Nights)
What happens on a Thursday night?
Time:
Tiny Tots - 6:00pm—7.00pm. (Rough timing)
6’s – U20 – 6:00pm – 8:00pm (Rough timing)
5:30pm – 5:45pm Equipment set-up
Assistance is always greatly appreciated. Anyone arriving early is encouraged to help out with setting up equipment.
5:50pm Assembly of athletes and communication of any news.
Assembly of all athletes lining up behind their age crates where any club news will be communicated.
5:55pm Athletes warm-up and further communication to parents of any news.
All athletes are taken to go through their warm-up exercises. During this time further communication of any news will be made to parents.
5:55pm Assembly of Parent age group helpers.
While athletes are warming up Parent helpers will assemble at their age group. The Age Folder provided will have all the necessary sheets for recording times and distances. There is also a Program of Events in the folder that shows the events and their location as well as instruction from Little Athletics on how to perform the event. Parents of all children in that age group must sign in for their child for the night. This is the responsibility of the age group helper to make sure all children are signed in. Please make sure by the end of the night that all children that have participated have a parent’s signature beside their name.
6:00pm Athletes return from warm-up and go to events.
When athletes return from warm-up Parent helpers will take their age group to the first event listed on the event sheet inside the folder.
7-7:30 pm and onwards finish of competition.
The finish time of your age group will depend on the size of the age group and how smoothly the events have been progressing. When your age group has completed all their listed events, please take the age group folder with the completed data sheets to the yellow lidded black box at the circular track finish line where they will be collected for processing.
Packing up equipment.
If you are completing the final field event on your event list, please help by packing up equipment and taking it to the ground entry (foyer) area. This will be in the main entry area of the facility.
