With the seaosn carnivals in our midst, it is always good to have a refresher of the rules or just to begin a new area in the sport.
World Athletics has recently introduced its online E-Learning site. On this site, you are able to go through and do a Level 1 "TOECS" Course. Regardless if you have done a TOECS face-to-face course in the past, we strongly recommended you complete the online version. As you know, rules get updated regularly and as officials we need to stay on top of it.
For those wanting to progress through the official's rankings in the coming years leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games, it will be mandatory for you to have at least a TOECS Level 1 qualification. For those wishing to move into referee roles, this TOECS course will need to be completed before you go complete further courses.
Those officials that would like more information about the new officials pathways information can be found on the link below . Please note that the qualifications you completed for Officiating in the past are is still valid. The TOECS is the next step in bringing the World onto 1 officials system – instead of every country having different systems.
