About

Bowen Athletic Club is an Athletics North Queensland affiliated athletics club catering for all ages 4-104.

The  club is run by volunteers, as a not for profit organisation to give training and competiton opportunites to athletes of all levels of abilities in a fun supportive enviroment.

The clubs grounds located off Woodlands road in Bowen allow us to offer a 400m grass track, catering for traditional track distances of 60m through to 10km (along with hurdles 60m-400m) and field events of Discus, Shotput, Javelin, Hammer, Heavy Weight and both flop and sissor High Jump.

We have club days most Saturdays in the season commencing at 1.45 pm using a rotating program of events generally having 5 main events and an optional 6th event per week for each age group (some events subject to weather/safety concerns).

This years season commences in march 2024 and will run through September 2024 for standard club days but membership covers members till march 2025 for other events and competitions.
