Playing Junior Hockey for Blacktown Kings
In 2024 Blacktown Kings Hockey Club will enter an U14 side in the North Area Junior Hockey Competition. This is a mixed competition played on fields across Sydney.
A maximum of 16 players will be registered for this team.
If you'd prefer to stay local then join one of Hockey Blacktown's local programmes to Make Hockey Your Sport.
Season Dates
- Registrations open February 1.
- Training will start February 21.
- Games will start mid March
- Season end September followed by a presentation
Training
Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Lalor Park Tennis Courts at the intersection of Northcott and Patterson Roads
Training will move to Blacktown's new field when opened - hoping for 2025
Games
U14s - Friday night games
Fields - Pennant Hills, Ryde, Homebush, Lidcombe, Concord, Ku-Ring-Gai
Fees
Fees for the season are paid once at the time of registration. There are no weekly fees. Fees consist of 4 parts;

Uniform
Playing shirt - on loan for the season
Playing shorts - black - supply your own
Club socks - $15 (May be purchased as an add-on at the time of registration)
Equipment
All players will need their own stick, shin pads and mouthguard. Goalie gear will be on loan from the club
Volunteers
Blacktown Kings is run by members for members. If you join then that means you! Teams will need to provide a coach, manager and ideally a parent or 2 to train up as an umpire
Wet Weather
Games usually proceed in wet weather. Training will be held at the discretion of the coach and manager.
