Mitch Baird, Dan Robinson, Corey Newham and Lee Marshall established the Bar In Water Polo Club in 2019. Mitch and Dan have extensive experience in Water Polo including National Squad selection, Australian Water Polo League as players and coaches and running Flippaball for U/8 & U/10s. Mitch is our Head Coach and Dan is responsible for our Flippaball program.
Our training home is Mayfield Pool where we field Junior teams in U8/U10/U12/U14/U17s and Senior teams. Home games will be played at Raymond Terrace. Membership is open to all and those with limited swimming ability - especially kids - are welcome as that will develop with training. Water Polo is way more fun than swimming laps!
Our club priorities are learning Water Polo, team work and having fun. Winning is nice but our focus is on participation and increasing the number of local players.
In our short history we have had success with our senior and junior teams making local and state finals and semi-finals and our members being selected for State Squads and Regional Representive Teams.
