Event information
PinkHockey is heading back to Sydney! After 21 years, PinkHockey returns to the country that hosted its first ever international tournament at the 2002 GayGames. The highly anticipated PinkHockey Sydney tournament, part of WorldPride Sports, is taking place over three fun packed days at Sydney Olympic Park. We are celebrating the domestic and international LGBTQIA+ PinkHockey community that has grown in number significantly over the last few years. On behalf of Bentstix Hockey Club we can’t wait to welcome our old and soon to be new friends to PinkHockey Sydney, WorldPride Sports as part of Sydney WorldPride festival.
Over 250 interstate and international competitors are joining the local LGBTQIA+ hockey community to compete in a fun and inclusive festival of hockey. There are concurrent Men’s and Women’s round robin competitions, culminating with an exciting finals series on the last day. The competition is open to all established players over 18 to register to whichever competition closest represents their identity. New players to hockey are welcome to sign up to our Have-go-events at Fairday.
With this tournament we aim to make it possible for anyone in our community to pick up a hockey stick and enjoy the benefits of participating in our sport. We hope to build a lasting legacy of inclusive hockey participation for many years to come.
