🥎✨Belmont Softball Club✨🥎
Belmont Softball Club was formed in 1980 with the help of Kim Hook and Belmont Baseball Club. This was also the starting year of competition in at Newcastle District Softball Association (NDSA).
In the 1986-87 season, Belmont chose to leave NDSA and commence playing in the Lake Macquarie Softball Association (LMSA) which was developed by several clubs including Belmont. There were six clubs that formed LMSA: Belmont, Kotara (now known as CLS), Sulphide Welfare Club (now known as Club Macquarie), Westlakes, Warners Bay, and Budgewoi.
In the 2001-02 season, LMSA returned back to NDSA to form a combined competition but still ran as two separate associations.
In the 2005-06 season, LMSA dissolved and several clubs returned back to NDSA including Belmont.
The year is 1985 and 37 years later Lisa is still playing for Belmont 1W... legend!
