Our Radio Courses  give you a qualification which is required by federal law to operate a transceiver. This course covers the long range operators certificate of proficiency which allows you to operate  both VHF and HF radios. It has a larger amount of practical demonstrations, by showing you how to tune an antenna manually, and understanding propogation and which frequencies work best. By the end of this course you’ll know how to manage emergency traffic such as “mayday” and understand the procedures in using a transceiver for communications. You’ll certainly be able to recognise who is using a radio but unlikely to be qualified!
