Personal Bests Steal the Spotlight in Round 5

Published Wed 20 Nov 2024

We had a very small number of athletes compete in Round 5, but despite the limited turnout, many delivered outstanding performances and achieved personal bests.

Notable PBs included Miller Smith, who excelled in both the 100m and 400m events. Max Reid also had a standout performance, achieving a personal best in the 100m. On the women’s side, Sarah Hunt backed up best times set at previous AVSL meets in the 200m and 400m by setting a new PB in the 100m, breaking 14sec for the first time. Suzanna Mavromihalis was impressive again with a PB  in the 400m to add to her recent strong performances.

Our MVA for the round was Miller Smith with 881 points. Overall we scored just 5,122 points, with relegation now looking on the cards for next season.

Thanks to our official Michelle Murrant and also to Danni Smith for filling our duty for the day.
