The newly resurfaced Landy Field and a warm evening provided the perfect backdrop for a return to AVSL in Geelong. Athletes delivered strong performances, with personal bests, season highlights, and a competitive spirit shining on the improved track and facilities.
Event Highlights
Female Open
Eliesha Byrt: Determined effort in the 1500m, finishing in 6:38.30.
Female 20
Mikayley Werner: Outstanding sprint results, clocking 12.77 in the 100m and a personal best of 60.74 in the 400m.
Erin Foley: A versatile performance earned her MVA scoring 1196 points, with times of 13.25 in the 100m, 61.04 in the 400m, and an impressive 15.87 in the 100m hurdles. She also threw 7.13m in the shot put.
Female 18
Suzanna Mavromihalis: Delivered a standout 60.51 in the 400m and 14.39 (2.1) in the 100m.
Charlotte Wilson: Recorded 13.76 (1.1) in the 100m and 63.60 in the 400m.
Sarah Hunt: Strong efforts in the 100m (13.98) and the 400m (65.71).
Female 14
Caitlin Foley: Showed promise across disciplines with 14.30 in the 100m, 14.33 in the 80m hurdles, a 17.41m javelin throw, and 7.73m in the shot put.
Female 40
Sarah Cotchett: Clocked 5:39.79 in the 1500m and 67.59 in the 400m.
Donna L. Braden: Competed strongly with 80.08 in the 400m.
Melissa Foot: Ran 14.29 (2.1) in the 100m.
Male 20
Noah Burns: Cleared 4.25m in the pole vault before missing his attempts at 4.40m.
Broden Bond: Ran 12.33 (2.6) in the 100m and backed up with 53.41 in the 400m.
Male 18
Max Reid: Clocked 12.15 in the 100m; unfortunately, his 110m hurdles ended in disqualification.
Angus Borschmann: Ran 12.27 in the 100m and a strong 52.89 in the 400m.
Joshua Unthank & Jackson Unthank: Close PB performances in the 400m with 51.49 and 51.65 respectively. They also joined the field for the 3000m at the finish of competition.
Male 50
Nick Foley: Achieved 10.06m in the shot put.
Male 60
Anthony Bradford: Delivered 6.38m in the shot put and completed the 100m in 21.53 (2.2).

Looking Ahead
