This is a special event in association with Bicycle NSW for Ride to Work Day: A commuter ride suitable for intermediate riders with some experience of riding on road with light traffic. Most of the ride is on bicycle and shared paths. The ride departs from the Five Dock Park car park outside The Home Grounds, formerly Five Dock Bowlo, on Barnstaple Road, Five Dock where there is free all day parking available. The route takes us to the Bay Run, then East to Lilyfield Rd to the new Rozelle Parklands cycleway which funnels us under Victoria Rd onto the ANZAC Bridge. Crossing the bridge on the shared pedestrian/cycle path we take the cycleway through Pyrmont and onto the Pyrmont Bridge. This is where we leave the City commuters before pushing on to the Harbour Bridge via Barrangaroo to arrive at North Sydney Station and our final destination.

For anyone wishing to return we ride down Blues Point Rd to the ferry wharf for a ferry trip to Balmain East and a short ride back to the start through Balmain Rozelle and the North shore of the Bay Run. Bring your Opal Card.
